We purchased this 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 from a friend. He had used it for years and then with new interests (business, church, and family) he left it sit in the yard for years. Fortunately the yard was in the desert so although the interior and rubber parts were shot there was no rust! Even the paint was great after a thorough scrubbing and waxing!

We grabbed it for a project for 4x4TV to modify yet keep in the theme of 1976. With the help of a Skyjacker lift, narrow BFG tires and a lot of parts from Specter Off Road we created a beautiful and functional 40.

After years of sitting in the back of the shop it found a new home with an enthusiastic Cruiser nut, Dave Yarington. Dave since moved to places unknown and we have lost track of our beautiful 40 - one of my all-time favorite vehicles to just sit and look at.

The lesson? Never sell ANYTHING ;-)
